Cleanliness was excellent, no restaurant for most of my stay. Walls in room are paper thin, so can hear everything in next room! Overall, booking in process very good, room was very good… maybe don’t place guesses in rooms next to staff, especially if they are ill and cough all night long!!!

I spent 3 days at this hotel with a friend. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were friendly and helpful especially Jeannette. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she dealt with any issues we had . The hotel had a gym but the main areas, such as the bar/ bistro and the lounge was in a separate building to the hotel , which was just outside . This was called Rangos Although the hotel had limited times the reception was open, there were phone numbers we could ring if we needed help, and Jeannette gave me her personal number . She dealt with the issue with our door very promptly and sent someone to show us how to get into our room.. she also explained the remote control only worked when you turn the TV on manually Hotel is near to Beamish museum and we used stanley taxis a lot but then found the bus station and taxi rank were by each other and bus fares are cheap. The only fault we could see is the maintenance of the building , although that wasnt major . Jeanette seemed to be jack of all trades and was good to fix what she can . We had a pleasant stay but did miss having a 24hr reception . The hotel is situated in a housing estate which was very quiet We didn't venture into stanley due to a short stay . But thiank you to all the staff for their customer service and friendliness

We stayed here before the GNR. Good location. Room was clean and bathroom is good. Check in was easy. It had a kitchnette which i didnt realise, so next time id be able to prepare my breaksfast before the run. Would definitely recommend.

Good clean accommodation and pleasant staff. The only real fault was the car park needed some tidying up with weeds and overgrown grass, etc which gave a bad first impression of the hotel. Everything in the hotel was perfect apart from the items mentioned earlier.
