Room was not ready when we arrived from a 4hr trip at 4pm.Had to wait over an hour for room to be cleaned and available even though I had a reservation. (This made us late for our family event). Room door knob was broken and maintenance was not onsite to fix it until the next morning. This made my family feel unsafe because we had to sleep overnight with the door handle partially off. (I have a picture for proof).

The property was very clean. The parking was convenient. This hotel is a great addition to Sumter for family coming in town for graduations, reunions and other celebrations. The location is great. My only issue is that the breakast options were limited. For a southern hotel, I was surprised that the eggs were powedered/dehydrated eggs and not fresh eggs. Also, grits and biscuits were not included on the breakfast menu.

The staff was great..place was a little dated, took them 3 days to make up room but didn't clean..took 5 days for our bathroom to be cleaned. Am a coffee person...no 24 hr coffee...only available from 6:30 am to 9:30am. Breakfast was ok but nothing to write home about.

The parking building seem to be filled with a bunch of trash in the different parking places. But the grounds where the Hyatt is were great.

The property is conveniently located in the middle of the city. When you come outside there are lots of stores and structures to see. So going for a walk is ideal. The seating in the hotel is really nice. Breakfast was great. One of the night clerks is very helpful and pleasant to talk to. We arrived during a bad storm and she was very informative and calm. She also served us at the bar and its very obvious she loves her job. Every guest I passed in the hotel was pleasant as well. The only thing I didnt like is that the pool is smaller than I expected. However I loved how it was set up outside where you could see the courtyard.

The property was very well kept. The common areas were accessible and clean. The bartenders were nice and it was very pleasant to see security constantly patrolling. However, the parking garage could use some TLC. Other than that, very pleasant stay!

It was very tidy, breakfast was excellent! Pool was clean. Employees were so kind but we felt the maintenance staff we very kind and always tried to be helpful. Only down side about the laundry is that there is only one washer and dryer but it’s free.

The breakfast was really bad. When we came to get ours, there were only a few pieces left, but nobody replenished the food, so I decided to skip and my husband got a cup of instant oatmeal. We’d also heard motorbike/sport car’s exhaust noise and train movement at night. The surrounding area was like a desert. The place is old/dated. Everything in the room is old and very much used. They seriously need to do some renovation/upgrade. We were glad that we only stayed for one night.
