The pools, beach area, gardens and lobby are beautiful. You can swim your way around the resort. We stayed in a resort suites which was new and very spacious, and great for a family. The only flaw was our suite not being read until an hour after the check-in time and the in-room dining was very slow.

This was our second stay & in 6 years the resort has grown significantly but has not lost its charm. It is one of the best we have stayed in and all staff were incredible. Thoroughly recommend it.

This was our fifth visit to the JW Marriott Khao Lak. Overall it is still very good and I would highly recommend. In particular the pools are amazing and the Olive restaurant in particular is excellent. My only slight criticisms are that the hotel's focus seems to be mainly on i) weddings / events, and ii) the new wings (aimed largely for those with young children) whilst the older wings and surrounding areas are starting to show their age and seem to be receiving less attention. There is building work going on for c60 new MVC units due to finish end of 2026, but it's not disruptive so don't let that put you off. I think the hotel could be more attentive in cleaning the beach area of debris. Of course I appreciate this waste isn't the hotel's fault, but it could be improved. The hotel has added some recent new touches such as complimentary water and sun-cream at helpful points by the beach and pools. Overall, absolutely recommended, especially if you're a keen swimmer and / or just want a relaxing break.

Amazing child friendly resort, just WOW!

Wow!! Amazing and beautiful resort, we loved every minute.Me and my husband stayed two weeks at this resort with two small children (3 and 5) and we were never bored. Super child friendly. Beach is divided in adult and family zone. A lot of pool options. The two bed room suites are so spacious and clean - we were really happy with the pool access. Lovely child friendly beach with tons of beach toys. Always free sunbeds by the pools and beach. Didnt really use the kids club, but looked really nice. Really decent restaurant, our favorite was Drift and Sakura. Lunch option at Sala and the beach really good for adults and also child friendly. Really recommend the bike trail! Quran spa was amazing. The breakfast buffet is a bit loud and chaotic, but ok before 8.30. That being said, lots of delicious food options. Thank you for having us.
