Tamadaba Natural Park, Canary Islands hotel rooms at the THe Hotels

"Food was great, the room was good despite the bed being in the top 3 of worst beds I've ever slept on (it nearly ruined our trip by destroying my back) and the sofa pullout bed being a literal torture device for our kids. The kids and family pool were probably the warmest heated pool we've found in Europe during the winter and the bouncy thing in the kids pool was a blast for the kids. There were alwast plenty of lounge chairs but the reviews are correct--they are not the most comfortable with that metal bar pushing into your back. The nearby beach wasn't the best and we preferred to use our car and drive to nearby nicer beaches. The all-inclusive food was great for adults, but they really didn't have a set aside kids buffet (plain noodles, chicken nuggets, fries, etc like alot of places). All around though, we really enjoyed our time here (we always focus on the good)."

"Hotel in great location,cleaners kept the hotel bedrooms very clean ,they are definitely good at what they do ,asked for a kettle for room we were told by reception to use coffee maker ,no pods available in room though we were informed by reception shop across the road supplied them and the shop keeper knew exactly which ones we were to purchase .This was disappointing because I only drink tea and when using the coffee machine to warm water it leaked .The mugs too big for coffee machine .We did however had a great short break but it’s nice to start your morning off with either a cuppa tea /coffee without any hassle in your own room ."

"Reception is on the 8th floor, with the rest of the rooms being underneath since the property is on a steep hill, which was a little odd. Check in and check out were both very smooth. It was a little hard to find parking (we ended up parking a ten minute walk away, but it was free). We didn't use the kitchen but it looked very nicely stocked with cookware. Definitely a hotel for the older crowd! "

"We had a poor experience and multiple issues with our room and were informed by reception, "sorry, this is the standard".... 1) I accept not all rooms have a sea view, but ours was looking into a cliff face with virtually no natural light entering the room... For 230 euros! The room felt like a utility closet that had been repurposed. Unacceptable. 2) The room had a mouldy, putrid smelling AstroTurf 'terrace' that faced said cliff. See attached photos of the florid mould. 3) The WiFi in the room was broken / could not even load a WhatsApp message. If this is the 'standard' that Occidental hotels holds themself to then they should reclassify this as a 2-3* hotel. I have stayed in cleaner, better 3* hotels for 1/3rd of the price. We would certainly not recommend anyone stays here or mistakes it for a luxury experience. It is a box-ticking "4*" hotel which on closer inspection does not live up to this grade. "

" Lovely, friendly staff and a good variety of food. Drinks were okay, but the all-inclusive cocktails weren’t great. Rooms are very dated and the hotel could really do with a refurbishment, plus a gym would be expected for a 4-star. Great bus service to the beach and Mogan."
