Hotel Tamarindo Diria Beach Resort

8/10 Good

"Excellent staff from front desk to rentals to cleaning staff, super clean facility. Even with all the wind causing leaves and such to fall in the pool, the staff was constantly cleaning. Breakfast was decent - quality of the cheeses and cold cuts was poor, in my opinion. However, there were many other options to choose from. We had a room with a view of the ocean, I think it's the Sunset room, and it was lovely. However, the bathrooms and rooms need a little bit of an upgrade, especially the bathroom. I'd definitely go to Tamarindo Diria again. Bonus! The extra pool across the street was soooo nice! Felt like a luxurious Vegas pool (complete with swim up bar)."

"This was exactly what we were looking for on Costa Rica's Pacific coast. The location was fantastic, with a lively, upscale atmosphere and plenty of restaurants, shops, and people enjoying the area. We loved being able to walk around and soak in the local vibe. Naomi was exceptional! She was warm, welcoming, and genuinely cared about making our stay special. Every interaction with her left us smiling. The bartenders were also wonderful, the food was consistently delicious, and the security staff made me feel safe each evening while traveling with my teenage daughter. One experience I'll never forget is when Lydia and I were caught in a rip current. The lifeguards were watching closely, responded immediately, and rescued us. Their professionalism and quick actions likely saved our lives, and I will always be grateful. The only thing to be aware of is that vendors regularly walk the beach selling souvenirs, tours, and other items. They're persistent but respectful, and a simple "No, gracias" works well. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. Great staff, excellent food, a beautiful location, and an atmosphere that made us feel relaxed and welcome. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!"
