Disappointing

Overall a disappointing experience. The spa was very nice, but the restaurant dinner buffet had lukewarm food for a relatively expensive price in Hungary. The breakfast buffet was also lukewarm. After breakfast and before checkout time we returned to our room to find our keycards didn't work anymore. Eventually they reactivated them so we could get back in our room to collect our stuff. At checkout the staff were adamant I hadn't paid via Hotels.com even though I thought I had, and they swiftly prepared my invoice and gave me the payment terminal. While I was paying I was checking my Hotels.com emails and bank account, and only after the payment had gone through I found that I had indeed already paid via Hotels.com. The staff were fortunately able to reverse the transaction, but offered no apology for the mistake. We wouldn't stay here again.

Замечательный отель в живописном месте. Здание старинное, но в хорошем состоянии. Комнаты чистые, удобные кровати, не очень удобные шкафы. Есть сауны, бассейн и джакузи. Отличный завтрак и ужин, хороший выбор венгерских вин. Персонал очень профессиональный. Жаль, что провели здесь только одну ночь.

Nagyon sok hotelben megfordultam már, de ilyen gyenge kiszolgálásban nem mostanában volt részem 4*-os szállodában. A bár szinte állandóan zárva tart, pedig a leírás alapján délelőtt is, és délután 17 órától is lennie kellene kiszolgálásnak. Ehhez képest délelőtt egyáltalán nem volt nyitva, délután pedig volt olyan, hogy nem szolgáltak ki mert vacsoraidőben nincs rá kapacitás... A személyzet 1-2 kivételtől eltekintve folyamatos unott, rossz kedvű volt. Szerettük volna jelezni a panaszunk a vezetőség felé, de egy vállrándítás társaságában azt a választ kaptuk, hogy hétvégén nem tudunk panaszt tenni... Az étterem alul van méretezve a szobákhoz képest, van amikor 10 percig is topogni kell, hogy szabad hely legyen reggelinél. Kész röhej, hogy ez a hotel 2019-ben 4 csillagos...

Hôtel avec beaucoup de services et très accueillant, ma chambre était petite, la salle de bain était propre mais je devais fermer la porte pour pouvoir accéder au toilette... J’ai regretté la tête de lit complètement abîmée!

It's "Okay" not much else available nearby.

My review is pretty neutral only because I have stayed at so much nicer and cleaner places for the same price. But you have to remember this is a small town in Hungary. It's an incredibly old building that they try hard to make competitive, and it does look elegant on the surface, but it's really just on the surface. They know there are few other choices in this area so they don't try too hard. The staff are "professionally" friendly, but only as much as they needed to be. Know that when checking in, it will be near impossible to find a place to park, though afterwards they do have a parking garage. You will have to get out of your car to buzz in, that will be fun during the Hungarian winter. Also, they don't have true climate control systems. It's either Air conditioning, or heat depending on the time of year. My stay was in early October so my room was very warm and musty smelling. They have these strange little mothball looking things on the floor, but they don't help much. If it's too warm, they tell you to open the windows. Problem is there are no screens, so bugs and spiders will make their way into your room at night. The carpet looked nasty, and there are no outlets available as they are all used by lamps, and its very dark if you unplug the one at the desk to use your laptop. Overall, it's "Okay" for what it is, but don't get swayed by it's bedazzled appearance as it only "window dressing" Its a very old building, and its like a maze trying to find your room.

The oldest and still the best.

Fantastic and historic hotel! The road outside can be a little off putting BUT once you walk into reception your senses are massaged with aromas, imagery, sumptuous furnishings and a view of the splendid courtyard. The room was perfect and very nicely furnished. Dinner was delightful with an excellent selection of wines and beers available. We had a Furmint (Mad), an Egri Bikaver and a Tokaji. My brother had a massage and reported that the masseuse was superb also. Breakfast was excellent and I really liked the underground parking available. The staff were ALL lovely.

Schönes Hotel mit großem Innenhof, sehr idyllisch, Einrichtung der Zimmer etwas altmodisch aber alles da was man braucht. Bügelraum zur Hochzeit war sehr hilfreich.

Hotel un po decadente con una nuova ala a cui ci hanno fatto accedere con tanto di valigie sotto una pioggia scrosciante, poi abbiamo scoperto per caso che c'era modo di passare agevolmente dall'interno. La camera, probabilmente, era ricavata da una terrazza ed era molto calda, brutta e piena di tessuti e arredi vecchi e polverosi. Sicuramente non corrispondeva alle foto delle camere che abbiamo visto al momento della prenotazione.

The hotel restaurant is great, although the menu is small. The room was alright, but the TV had a strange buzzing, same with the vent in the bathroom which was way too loud. The staff was semi friendly - service in the spa non existent. We tried ordering drinks several times but never got any order through.

Hotel calme et spacieux, bien situé

L'hotel est un ancien relais de poste très bien rénové, l'endroit est plutôt calme et non loin d'un grand lac. Le personel est avenant et très respectueux. Les chambres ne sont pas très modernes mais spacieuses; le restaurant de l'hotel est plutôt cher et pousse à la consommation; buffet petit déjeuner très complet. Pas mal de restaurants à proximité si on est motorisé ou si on n'hésite pas à marcher un peu.
