“The room was nice, view's are spectacular. However the hotel itself is tired needs updating even just a lick of pain, new flooring etc would work. Beautiful walks and grounds. Staff were lovely and friendly. Food was ok nothing special but not expensive. The pictures in the website wasn't a true representation of the hotel as I said needs a good update and clean. The bath in our room needs replacing asap I'd say. However everything else was good”

“The bathroom was clean, and the bed sheets were clean, with a lovely smell even in the morning. Heating was on all night, so it wasn't cold in the morning, and after skiing at Glenshee, that warmth was lovely. The fireplace downstairs was so good, and we had a nice chat and watched TV. “We were given an apartment rather than a room. It was very spacious, comfortable and fitted out to a high standard. We were provided with a fantastic selection of food to make breakfast. The staff were lovely and the hotel is very central in Montrose town centre.”

““I stayed at the Atholl Palace Hotel for two nights, and unfortunately, I was disappointed with several aspects. The water pressure in the bathroom was weak, making it uncomfortable to shower. The bed and other facilities were quite uncomfortable as well. There was no concierge service, which I found inconvenient. Apart from the nice views and the historical charm of staying near the castle, I didn’t find much value in the experience.””
