Lovely stay at Thornhill

The bed was huge and very comfy, i ended up sleeping diagonally. Great service, the best breakfast. You get left to your own devices. Nice and chilled.

I was made to feel very welcome on arrival at the Thornhill and every time we returned. The breakfast menu covered all tastes and preferences. My only problem was that we had a room on the top floor and, because of my disability, I struggled to get to my room. This was not the fault of the hotel or staff, but my own. If I go again, I will make sure to book the ground floor room.

The Thornhill is excellent as are Sandy and her husband, waitress. Breakfast is really good great produce. Could not ask for a better stay. Our room was very clean and so spacious. This is our second time here and definitely will stay here every time we come over. Thank you Sandy for a lovely relaxing stay.

Size of room barely adequate for single occupancy, better suited as a storage room. Frosted glass for window ( no view ) . Poor or no ventilation . House adjacent appeared to be occupied by squatters.

Lovely staff, very clean and welcoming

Lovely staff, very clean and welcoming. We got a fairly small room being at short notice but the beds were comfortable if a little softer than we are used to and we slept really well. Decent breakfast too and right next to the beach.

Great short stay in the Thornhill teignmouth

Very enjoyable, the room very comfortable and clean. The breakfast very good and as much as you see want , choice if fresh fruit, cereal,orange juice , omelet and full English. Everyone friendly and helpful both in accomodation and around teignmouth, lovely beach and town on doorstep

Even though the weather was not that good, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay with our dog as well, very friendly and lovely breakfasts. Did lots of walking with our dog, went on the beach and paddled in the sea, i think our dog had a lovely time as well, Teignmouth is very dog friendly.

The only drawback at the Thornhill is the lack of car parking. You have to use an overnight car park which is a short distance away. Absolutely wonderful breakfast and very accommodating staff.

Although it was immaculate,and comfortable, the room was extremely small - listed as a double there was less than 9" between the foot of the bed and a wall and only 2' either side -this was caused by part of the room taken up into a small en suite. In my opinion, it would have been impossible and cramped with two people in there. No off-road parking racked up a tariff of £27 per day +a parking fine from an over jealous warden! VERY expensive parking experience!
