"The property is a grand old country house within walking distance of Bridgend. Our standard room was spacious and had lovely views over the grounds and the sea beyond. There were no chairs or a sofa in the room, even though there was ample space, so enjoying the view wasn't an easy option. The bed was comfy and the Nespresso machine was a nice touch. The communal areas were very inviting but we didn't utilise them as we were only staying one night. Cooked breakfast was freshly cooked and tasty."

"It is electronic entry so we only so staff when they delivered our breakfast to the room in the morning. There are plenty of options close by for evening meal. Parking is close by at the harbour as you cannot stop outside the guest house as it is on the corner of the main road."

"Really nice property in a truly special place. Rooms small but well kept, breakfast was great. Do be aware they cannot process credit cards, and didn't find out til next morning. Fortunately a friend could deal with it. Not so much upset with property but with Expedia for no advanced warning. Would definitely go back but would be prepared."

"We were very pleased with this property. Spacious and well equipped. Lovely welcome package and cosy warm on arrival. It had everything we needed and was central for what we wanted to do. Parking was easy and convenient. We would definitely recommend 1 Marine Place for a perfect stay on Bute"
