"Visited for a wedding and what a great stay we had , I travel a lot and stay in hotels maybe 20 times a year and I have to say the staff are up there at the top of the list for me , excellent in every way ."

"Stayed 1 night in room 2 on the 1st floor at the rear of the property. You look out onto the back yard which had old furniture, door frames & rubbish. Spacious bedroom, small shower room with a macerator toilet which was a little bit noisy as was the sliding door into the shower room. Comfortable bed a fan was left available if needed. Breakfast at cost of £15 each was enjoyable. Misleading free breakfast on hotels.com overall a nice place convenient for the coast & the curry houses on Ocean road. Hosts Paul & Barbara both very accommodating."

"Hotel is located on the seafront and has beautiful views if you get a room at the front. Staff were friendly and check in was easy. Don’t forget to put your reg in at reception if staying there. Hotel has a bar, restaurant and leisure facility and close to restaurants and shops. The rooms are spacious but are a bit outdated and need updating."

"Food very nice. Staff very accommodating. Rooms okay - could have done with a vacuuming a couple of times during our stay. Told staff to not bother changing towels every day but they did anyway. Car park validation for residents a very good idea. Will stay there again when next in the area."

"I have been staying at the Lemonfield for over 30 years through a few different owners. Each owner has made updates and rooms are now en-suite. One of the best features was the breakfast, but this now has a charge and I decided not to try it. The location is great, close to the sea( some rooms having a view) with local shops, pubs and cafes all within walking distance."

"10 minute walk to the metro which takes about 25 to 30 minutes to Newcastle Central Station. The location of the accommodation is very near to the town centre and beach etc. There are numerous pubs, restaurants to take advantage of. I met the owner to obtain entry but there is key system available. Would certainly recommend. "
