"Property: The staff was top tier!! Such a kind group of people who are dedicated to making the space feel comfortable, creative, inclusive, and like somewhere you actually want to hang out. We loved that there were free art activities, pool table, coffee/tea bar, sparkling water, and a highlight on sustainability. The complimentary daily breakfast was convenient and yummy, and the funky art deco van out front makes for a great photo backdrop. There's also a lovely little outdoor area to the hotel restaurant/bar. Rooms: The pillows were typical hotel quality, as was the sheet/duvet situation (they provided extra of both upon request), the bed was large and comfortable, TV was standard cable, and temperature was easy to adjust. There was a bit of a...footy...smell to our room at first LOL but it luckily dissipated away. Great water pressure in the shower, lots of towels provided, and the body wash/shampoo/conditioner dispensers were fully stocked and beautifully scented. The sink had some age and wear, but I appreciated the large mirror and the full length mirror outside of the bathroom. Lots of storage, space, a white noise machine, and the staff brought up a mini fridge and microwave on request as well. Location: Convenient to the rest of Boston by car (though we didn't look into any other modes of transportation since my friend lives there and chauffeured us around). It's an artsy, hip student area, and the immediate exterior looks a bit industrial."

"From the Front Desk to the Casino staff my husband and I felt like we were the most important folks staying at the hotel . The reality was we were weary travelers returning from a business meeting in Connecticut by train . Much more relaxing than driving until ... our train out of Connecticut was late thus making us miss the Amtrak Downeaster by 8 min! We had done our best running through Back bay Station . Racing to the subway connecting to the next big station . No bus . No rental cars and next train didnt leave for 6 hrs . Tired and looking frazzled I looked online and I saw rooms available at Encore . Never stayed . Always wanted . So two worn out folks walked into your incredible lobby and was greeted with such warm . The young lady at the desk was so gracious and after we told our story everyone was " do you need anything ?????" Now 8:30 pm we were hungry and went to "Franks?" a very lovely blond lady looked at us and just knew we needed a kind word. We enjoyed the casino and having been to Vegas and quite a few other casinos none compare to its atmosphere. Not to leave out our room ...it was like a gift to these weary travelers . Again we were not judged or just given our room key we were treated like special guests . I was embarrassed by how worn out we looked as Im a business owner , blah blah but your staff made our crazy trip feel like a special meant to be momment . THANK YOU ! We will be back !"

"They need to fix the issue with the refridgerators. On a very hot day the fridge wasn't working, they got someone to fix it, it worked for a while then it stopped again. So in the morning we had warm drinks. Location and price are good. Place is clean and rooms decent size, especially compared to other hotels in the area."

"This hotel is a great value! It has easy/quick access to the city, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. Breakfast is included, and is much better (with many more options) than most hotels. The only negative was that there are only two elevators, and both are quite slow. At one point, it appeared that one of the elevators was stuck on the 5th floor, so there was a wait to get on the only working elevator."
