"Pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It’s officially a 3-star hotel, but it’s better than some 4-star ones I’ve stayed in. It just got the basics right. Clean, well lighted (none of that moody, ultra dim rooms) and the inclusive breakfast is handy. The location is great, near Angel station, well connected by bus and lots of eating options around. I do wish that it has an in-house laundry, but not many hotels in London has that anyway. "

"The Brownswood is lovely and I keep returning year after year. It feels like staying with family. Pub is a great time. Quick access on bus network or plenty of bikes around make commuting to central easy."

"This is my worst experience in my whole life. I booked the property with Hotels.com which I have used sucessfully for many years. I arrived at the property at 10pm after spending 1 hour looking for a ''hotel'' as advertised. It was just a door with NO signage to indicate that there was any accommodation at this address. "Apart from a little confusion during check in, everything about the stay was great. Super bright and super clean, exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended. "

"Good sized rooms comfortable and a bonus the hot tub! Only downside they have extended the hot tub use to midnight from the previous 10.30pm cut off so I didn’t appreciate the room above me in the hot tub until 11.30pm it was noisy. Good quiet location."
