Lovely, clean, and modern hotel – however, it is not yet finished, which was disappointing!
We paid extra for a Superior Mountain View but were given a standard twin room, which was available at a significantly lower price (attached the view from the room)
We booked this hotel for several reasons, primarily its facilities, including the pools, spa, and gym. Do not make the same mistake we did. When I queried these facilities, I was told that the hotel had “only opened 10 days ago and that they were not yet completed”
This unfinished nature was evident throughout our stay. We experienced a 12-hour period without electricity or lighting, and more than three hours without running water. On both occasions, I had to inform reception of the issues and then repeatedly chase for updates.
I have absolutely no doubt that in six months to a year this hotel will be fantastic. The issues will likely be resolved, and the facilities will be as advertised. However, for now, I would recommend waiting a few months before booking.
I did attempt to resolve these issues during our stay through both Expedia and the hotel directly. We were advised that a solution would be offered; however, we were never approached with one
Following our stay, I raised the matter again with Expedia. They advised that they had been unable to contact the hotel and that the standard cancellation terms remained in effect. As a result, no compensation, alternative arrangement, or other resolution was offered.
