I don’t often write reviews however, I can’t believe Expedia offers this condo as an option. I travel to Toronto regularly for work and thought I would try staying in a condo rather than a hotel since I was there for a week this trip. First off, no one was there to check me in, they instruct you to text them when you’re a half hour out and they will meet you there. They didn’t even respond to my text. I got to the property and called, they said no one was working so she’d coach me on checking myself in over the phone. I got up to the room and the door was locked, she said it would be open. Finally a woman who did not speak any English came and let me in, she couldn’t answer any questions I had and just walked away. Oh, she also opened the laundry and took a load out??? The blinds were falling down, the bed was gross, hard as a rock and when I took a shower the curtain rod broke and fell on me. I texted the management company to ask them to bring a new rod and during the entire week they never showed up. They would just respond they were waiting to hear back from their team. Garbage, will never stay there again.

Pros: The biggest advantage of these apartments is their fantastic location. Situated in downtown Toronto, it’s incredibly convenient if you want to visit most of the city’s attractions. Staying here makes it easy to explore the best parts of the city. Cons: Unfortunately, there are quite a few drawbacks. The most significant issue is the extremely long Customer Journey Map (CJM) to access the apartments. At some point, I started to regret booking these accommodations due to the cumbersome process. 1. Lengthy Information Process: It starts with having to provide a lot of personal information before check-in. 2. Strange Deposit Payment: Then, you need to pay a deposit through a rather odd link, which is supposed to be refunded. I am hopeful it will be. 3. No Meet-and-Greet: I arrived at dusk and was told a representative would meet me and guide me, but no one showed up. I had to find a strange location with lockers in near darkness, which was difficult and the locker didn’t open easily. 4. Poor Instructions: I only found out the apartment number after getting to the floor, which was very confusing. There were no clear instructions on how to check out, connect to the Wi-Fi, or the password. I had to email and wait for responses each time I needed information, which was quite inconvenient. 5. Cleanliness: The apartment was not super clean. It was fairly clean, but I expected better.

Apartment is very nice, comfortable, and location is great. However, Globalstay is a terrible service organization which made the overall experience unpleasant. Had to send several messages to get apartment access information since I had a very late arrival and kept getting useless responses in email from different people without any deatils. There is no way to call them as they don't answer the phone. I finally received an email with unclear lockbox instructions and inaccurate access code information at 7:30 at night on my arrival date. Although the apartment was nice, it also had a few minor issues, including balcony door and dishwasher not working, no wine opener, spatula for cooking, ec. However, given the overall experience, it was not worth dealing with GlobalStay. Owner should find a different rental company as I will never stay at GlobalStay managed property again given my experience.
