We had issues since the check-in when the receptionist got confused with their booking system and cancelled part of my prepaid booking.
Unfortunately, the cleaning was the worst! I noticed the room wasn’t being cleaned properly (or at all) as I could see the dirt from the previous day untouched! They clearly didn’t clean the floor since we could feel the dirt when walking barefoot. The reception, again, couldn’t do anything until the next morning and I couldn’t leave it the way it was as it would start to be unsafe for my children. I had to pick up a broom and dust bin at the reception and clean it myself that night.
It is outrageous that I’d find myself cleaning a room I paid for in the middle of my family vacation. Reception mentioned they left a note for the cleaning crew to give extra attention to my room and the very next day the towels weren’t changed, and the floor wasn’t cleaned. Other than the beds, the rest was the same as the day before. I made a complaint about the cleaning (again) and the excuse was that they were short on staff and had to hire a new company that wasn’t doing a good job. I had no reply to my complaints from no one, not even an apology from the manager by the time I checked out. The room was on the train mainline side, and we could clearly hear all the trains that passed by. It even startled my children a few times.
