A little slice of paradise

The only reason I'm giving this place 4* is because the road leading down is gravel and not bery well maintained. The cabin itself is a paradise! The pond is beautiful, the ducks friendly, and the fast moving creek sounds lull you to sleep. I was very pleasantly surprised at how stocked the kitchen was with cooking supplies. The staff was friendly and the whole property is well maintained.

So beautiful but so poorly Managed

Check in was bad and the welcome not good due to us booking on hotels.com and the manager did not know how to claim the free nights I had and booked for it. Then she tried to tell us we had to pay and later came to sort of apologize but just not a good reception Management is really bad at your property and the place is going backwards as no one sees to it that things get repaired in the cabins or that cleanlines is maintained. We sent an email and then a maintenance guy did come however he was not sure what to fix (after we sent a whole list on mail) and he only half fixed the stuff and said the rest he cant as he does not have the necessary equipment and has brought it to managements attention. The cleanliness is a huge problem - the made cleaned the basins in the bathroom with the toilet brush - everywhere there was spiderwebs in the corners the floor was so dirty, when we moved the beds it looked like it hadn' been cleaned for at least 6 months.. the drawers was so sticky and dirty and we found underwear of a previous stay.. wonder how long that has been there.. the braai grid was so filthy we didn' want to braai there was not a proper brush to clean the grid with. The log cabins and surrounds are so nice and so pretty but the big let down is the Management of this place if it was run better than we would not have complaints. Perhaps check if the maintenance is done properly every week and check the cleanliness of the log cabins. That is why we would not stay here
