Overall the cabin was great. Only downside was, after we had checked in and arriving to our cabin, it haven’t been made up! The night manager was very helpful and promptly made the cabin for us and offered a late check out.

Family Holiday

The place is quite and clean near the beach and lake. With free movie during the night time for kids, a good place for family. The only downside is the poor WIFI signal, so free WiFi is useless.

Received early check-in when we asked which was great for the kids. The place was comfortable and older, which was OK except the cleanliness of the unit wasn't great (dusty on surfaces and dead bugs on the roof, but nowhere near enough to be uninhabitable for a night). Great location, beach access and right on the lake, excellent pricing for where it is.

Nice location, but offputting experience

Very stressful experience as I was travelling late with two small children and could not get hold of the reception to confirm my reservation and get directions. I kept getting a voicemail. Nobody ever returned my call despite the message I left asking them to calll me back. After driving around looking for the place for a good half hour, I finally got to Burrill Hill Holiday Park at 9 pm, wondering if anybody was going to be there at all and if I would be able to spend the night there even though I had paid for the night. I fortunately found an envelope with my name on it in the letter box when I arrived, and then the owner's daughter eventually arrived and told me her mother had to leave earlier that night. It was not a pleasant experience, all the more so as the cabin was very small and poorly designed. There was no separation door between the living-room and the bunk beds for the children, so I couldn't use the living-room as the light would have kept them awake. Same thing for the bedroom, which was only partially separated from the living-room by a sliding screen. There was no real bathroom, and as the washing-basin was in their bedroom space, I couldn't use it eiither and used the sink in the kitchen area instead. Altogether not very practical!

Weekend away.

Burrill Lake Tourist Park, is a nice quiet park, the pool area looks as if it has recently been renovated compared to the rest of the park which is very clean, but looks dated. Being right next to the pool was a bit noisey with children yelling, but still a great place to stay. Each cabin had its own BarB Que and supplied clearing gear.. staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great cabin, just needs new mattresses and blinds!

The cabin we stayed in was quite pleasant and modern. The following things let the cabin down: - the park has bright lights outside the cabins and the blinds are not block-out blinds. The amount of light streaming in the window makes you feel like it is daylight! We kept waking up from the bright light thinking it was morning. - The mattresses in the bunk beds were hollow inside and need replacing. If the cabin had better blinds and replaced the mattresses then our stay would have been wonderful! The park is clean and tidy. We were there over a busy weekend but it was quiet at night.

Good position between lake and beach

Well maintained, clean caravan park. Good facilities. Disappointed sheets on second bed were not provided as we wanted two beds. I was travelling with my Mum. The double bed was the only bedding provided.
