Great hotel...if you can actually stay there

We were really looking forward to staying at Green Villa but upon arrival they said there was a problem with the room and they were completely booked so had to book us in a hotel next door. The place next door was dirty and only half as nice. I went back when I saw they had availability the next 3 nights and they were able to put us in a ground floor room (I paid for a balcony) but it was still nice. They wouldn't have put us in there had I not demanded it though. Overall the place is really nice but what happened the first day felt like some sort of scam. Great breakfast also- fresh fruits, egg and toast with jam and coffee or tea.

Basic, but fine

Green Villa was clean and in a great location (short walk to the beach and a lot of restaurants), but was very simple - nothing fancy, only the barest of amenities. We did not partake of breakfast so can't speak to that. Overall it was pretty much what we expected for the star rating and price point.

Das Guesthouse hat eine gute Lage, man ist in wenigen Minuten am Strand. Zimmer war ok, nichts besonderes. Auf dem Miskitonetz überm Bett war so viel Staub und Moskitileichen, dass wir uns nicht getraut haben den Ventilator anzumachen weil sonst alles im Raum verteilt wäre. Die Zimmerausstattung die im Internet angeboten wird, stimmt nicht überein mit dem was man bekommt. Kein kostenloses Mineralwasser, kein Haartrockner, keine Zimmerreinigung während der Woche in der wir dort waren. Wenn wir nach frischen Handtüchern fragten wurden wir genervt versorgt. Grundsätzlich hatten wir nicht den Eindruck wirklich willkommen zu sein.

Clean and comfortable oasis near Unawatuna Beach!

The Green Villa was a welcome surprise. The place exceeded our expectations. We got a room in the new building and it was great. The place was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location in Unawatuna because it was just far enough away from the beach that we felt secluded but close enough to enjoy all the restaurants, shops, and beach atmosphere. Thanks so much for helping make our vacation relaxing and enjoyable!

Гест хаус расположен в 5-7 минутах пешком до пляжа Унаватуна. Гест хаус с разными категориями номеров, хозяева радушные ланкийцы. Белье и уборку комнаты проводили только по просьбе. Утром нас ждал завтрак : кофе/чай, омлет, тосты с джемом и фруктовая тарелка. рядом соседи строят отель, с 6 утра было шумно, еще переодически пропадал wi fi.

Convenient and handy.

Our hosts did their best for us under trying circumstances as they had an immediate family member in ICU. My wife and I wish them all the best. Breakfast was simple but good, and they were all helpful and friendly.
