"I was there for 5 days and cleaning staff did not come up once to clean the trash or replace my towels. The laundry room is there but the machines are disgusting with grime and smells bad. There was only one that I found appearing used by anyone at all. A laundromat on College and University has better machines, prices, and doesn't make you feel yuck!"

"The Breakfast menu was a real bonus in getting your day started, the Airport shuttle was so incredibly convenient, and the staff were all absolutely wonderful -- especially, Danielle. The Golden North Inn was, as far as I am concerned, the best deal in town for staying in Fairbanks!"

Not sure what that was all about but my stay was great after that. Great friendly atmosphere and people if you are ready to stay in a dorm type of place! I had a great time and experience!"

"This did have basic service that you would expect with a 3 star hotel. We were a party of 6, with 3 rooms reserved for 3 nights. Granted, we were some of the last visitors for the season, just prior to closure, but I literally had to go begging coffee refills for the mornings, and the tea was not replenished. I finally located some at the front desk--since housekeeping was unable to locate. Also, had to beg for Kleenex--after the dispenser was left empty for two days. The daily housekeeping service was a huge disappointment. The rooms were not made up until after 5:45 pm. The first day, I had just pulled the covers up on the bed in our room and the bed was then not freshly made that day. The lobby was continually packed with visitors, and difficult to even find a place to sit. People were either waiting for a room, or had checked out and were waiting for a later flight. At any rate, it made the public areas very uninviting. "
