He took us fishing, arranged for logistics to and from Puno and served us excellent meals for dinner, breakfast and lunch, food was both fresh and tasty and we had desserts as well. “This is one of the most unusual places I have ever stayed or been in my life. The hotel is built on a floating stack of reeds. You are brought to the hotel by boat. It is quite comfortable and the people are so kind. It was a great experience ”

“The property is beautiful, and the family here is so sweet and welcoming. They have an option to have lunch and dinner made for you, which I highly recommend as you are not on the mainland. The food was delicious and healthy. The view of the stars at night was breathtaking. The option to dress in traditional cloths and have a reed boat ride on the lake at sunset was unforgettable. This was my favorite part of our Peru trip, and I wish we had the opportunity to stay even longer. ”

“Staying on this island was amazing. The view was incredible and plenty of blankets to keep you warm. They even gave us warm water bottles to put in the bed at night to keep us warm. ”

“Our stay at the Sonesta Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the warmth of the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. “The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the main square. The family owners of this property are so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is made to order not the typical stale buffet. We were stuck in the city all day and they allowed us to sit in the lobby and wait. We shared a pizza with the owner and wonderful conversation. The amazing staff more than makes up for the lack of amenities. ”
