Royer was great! He got us to the train station and made sure we saw the town before we boarded for Machu Pic

Hotel Lizzy Wasi sits behind a nondescript wall in a skinny alleyway in Urubamba, but once you walk through the door, a whole new world opens up. Gorgeous gardens and the smell of fragrant jasmine await you. Run by US expat Lizzy, Hotel Lizzy Wasi was the perfect place for our family. Our stay here was a last-minute decision because of a flight delay, and we couldn't have been more pleased. We arrived at 9:30 at night from Cusco, our nerves frazzled from a miserable 24 hours of travel delays...

Staff is awesome from the moment you arrive to the hotel. They will receive you with the coca tea. Food in the restaurant was delicious and healthy. They have vegetarian and gluten-free options. Hotel grounds are is spacious and beautiful. There is a train station in hotel grounds.

Immaculate hotel. Smallish room. Very accommodating in helping with transport . Packed is a free lunch for our early departure. Little facility with English, however, just added an English speaker as we were leaving. Highly recommended

The staff were very helpful and the rooms are nicely done. The hotel is around 15 minutes away from Urubamba. At the same time, It was relaxing and will definitely stay at this hotel on my next trip.

Where to begin! Immediately upon arriving we were greeted by the hotel owners at the door! They were welcoming and helped us with our bags to our rooms. The rooms were clean, big and comfortable. The common area and the patio were my husbands and I, favorite places in the hotel! The patio area is surrounded by glass where you can enjoy the spectacular view of the heart of the sacred valley and have your (free) breakfast every morning. We would definitely come back and we recommend this to...

Beautiful property with excellent service. Perfect for solo traveler or couples.

Wonderful experience! This hotel is set among the Andes, close to the Sacred Valley, with spectacular grounds that are very well manicured. The hotel lobby has a large, open look, with a fire place in the center, and a hidden bar downstairs with a nice little nook to relax in. The grounds offer hammocks, a fenced-in llama feeding area, planetarium, spa, and more. The rooms have majestic views and are both comfortable and very clean. The hotel immediately puts you in a peaceful, relaxed...

This hotel surpassed our expectation! We had previously stayed at the Tambo del Inka and this property was much better. Tambo del Inka is VERY touristy and Taypikala provides a much more authentic luxury experience. Very quiet, exceptional food and great service. I would love to have spent a whole week there!

As a local, he shared wonderful recommendations and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. When my friend and I experienced altitude sickness, Darghen arranged a private taxi tour for us so we could explore at our own pace and return to the hostel whenever we needed. This was far more comfortable than joining a standard group tour, and we were very grateful for his help. The breakfast was one of the freshest we have ever had. Much of the produce is harvested directly...

My girlfriend and I were breath-taken at this beautiful place, the architecture and hospitality was amazing. The front desk and staff are the sweetest and always there to help you in any need. What shocked me the most was the chef! We’ve tried every single dinner dish and all i can say is WOW! We loved every night staying here. Very peaceful and relaxing, this is a highly RECOMMENDED location. Thank you!

great

Wonderful helpful staff. Beautiful location, gardens, art and food! A great base for exploring the sacred valley and supporting school children at the same time.

Lovely hotel and setting

Our stay was unbelievable. The room was beautiful, the private jacuzzi was amazing and the service was impeccable. Michael went above and beyond to make our stay special. He's a fabulous cook, had great suggestions about excursions and taught a private Peruvian style cooking experience for us. The grounds are gorgeous, covered in flowers and grass. What we found wonderful was the seclusion of the resort which might not be for everyone if they want to be close to the action. Marco, who provides...

Views are great. The room was really nice. One of the nicest places we stayed at. The hot water is available but not all the time and not for a long time. You are in the mountains so... It's a 10 -15 min walk to the center. The area is really quite and calm. Coca tea is available. The altitude is really bad so prepare to be out of breath for no reason. Only negative was that breakfast was not impressive. If you come from a culture that eats well then just go into town. Overall a really great...
