Hotel Faro, a Lopesan Collection Hotel - Adults Only
6/10 Okay
"My stay at Hotel Faro was okay, but overall not worth the price.
The hotel itself is nice, the location is great, and the staff was friendly. I also had a massage during my stay, and that was honestly one of the highlights—the therapist was amazing.
However, for how expensive this hotel is, I expected a lot more. The weather during my stay wasn’t great, and there were little to no indoor alternatives or activities to make up for it. For a hotel at this price point, there should definitely be better options for guests when the weather doesn’t cooperate.
Another major issue was how much they charge for everything. It felt like every little thing came with an extra fee. I was even charged for a Coke from the minibar that I didn’t drink. On top of that, there were items placed in the room that looked complimentary, but ended up being charged, with no clear pricing or notice. That was very frustrating and misleading.
The breakfast buffet was also disappointing. In my opinion, it was one of the worst I’ve seen—just a mix of random items that didn’t feel well put together or worth it.
Overall, while the hotel is nice and the staff is kind, the experience didn’t match the price. Between the extra charges, lack of amenities during bad weather, and underwhelming food, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again."
"It was a lovely looking hotel with a lovely pool area but a little disorganised where the sunbeds were concerned. The rooms were lovely airy and reasonably clean with some cleaners being better than others as regularly found areas they missed but nothing major. We were most unhappy with the dining area as food that was supposed to be hot under the hot lamps were warm at best! So despite having paid for it we went out most evenings. Especially as it was based in the basement with no view. I’m afraid we won’t be returning "
"Another amazing stay. Never been let down by this hotel, immaculately kept. Great for a relaxing break. Got upgraded at check it and loved our room with living room and sea view. Hotel was very busy but was still enough seating indoors and outdoors. Only criticism to note on this occasion was changes to breakfast. Felt there was less options than previous stays and a lot of staff training. Coffee in coffee pots were cold. A lot of staff in training and some not well guided. Will definitely return and highly recommend for great holiday "
