"The clerk at the desk was all business. She was a little difficult to understand as English is not her first language. The room was almost 100% excellent. The bed was firm and comfortable. I found only a few minor things with the room. The sink faucet was very loose and would move when you turned the water on or off. The toilet seat ring was missing a spacer on the front. The back of the bathroom door had some white spots on it at the bottom and around the hooks. I am hoping this was soap residue and not something else. Otherwise, the room looked as though it was freshly painted and/or updated. I was unable to find the hair dryer. The window above the A/C unit gives an excellent view of the parking lot and the drive thru at Whataburger, when it is not fogged up with the high humidity. It was very quiet given the proximity to I-10, Main street, Whataburger and Dunkin drive throughs. The only thing I heard was the fan from the A/C unit. The A/C unit is adequaet, but struggles with evening heat. I set the temp to 65F and after the sun went down and 5 hours later, it finally cooled off. Breakfast was bare minimum. They had sausage patties and some type of preformed egg shapes. They have a waffle machine, with Coffee, OJ & AJ. It is not bad if you want a light breakfast and hit the road. Bottom line; I would stay there again."

"We couldn't check in until after 6 because our room wasnt clean. We ended up having to get dressed in the lobby restroom. I booked a double queen room and we were given a king room. The front desk attendant was kind, but it was ridiculous. The chair in the room was absolutely filthy, but the room was otherwise clean."

"The person who checked us in on the evening of June 9th was helpful &I asked him specifically if the internet was good there since my kiddo needed to do schoolwork that evening-he said yes. Unfortunately, we couldn't keep any of our devices connected so after a long drive, arriving close to midnight and not being able to use the internet, we turned in expecting to be able to sleep in since check out is 11am. Nope. At 10am housekeeping is banging on our door which startled us awake. He didn't announce housekeeping-just banged on the door. I yelled WHAT & he said sorry. We have until 11am to check out & hadn't checked out so why are they banging on our door to see if we are there? Horrible practice & I provided feedback to the woman at the front desk who didn't understand the concept of why I wasn't happy. She simply stated they were seeing if you left yet-well I haven't checked out so obviously I'm still there. She was rude. Next, decided since I'm up might as well get ready to leave. I went to get ice. Nope machine doesn't work. Take the elevator down and two steps out and almost fall due to floor was just mopped but the wet floor sign was around the corner. Parking lot was a disaster when we came in, the key wouldn't work on the side door and in the morning someone had propped open the door with a rock - probably since the key wouldn't work. The door to our room was difficult to close. The A/C on the wall doesn't actually control the a/c. Would NOT recommend."
