I got two automatic emails through Expedia offering packed lunch but I got no response about contents and cost when I twice messaged the hotel asking fkr more information. Reception desk was deserted when we arrived for checking and other guests had spent 10 minutes searching the hotel trying to find someone. ”

“A HUGE problem with this accommodation is that even though the owners have written to Expedia to correct it, the listing indicates that this lodging is 27 km from Fram. It is actually 90 km and takes 2 hours to drive, most of which is on very narrow, windy mountain roads. The views are beautiful but we were not planning for such a long and harrowing drive. It is 27 km if you are a crow or have a helicopter. It was wonderfu when we finally arrived.”

“Amazing overnight stay at the Stalheim Hotel as a mid-point for our Norway-in-a-Nutshell tour. We absolutely loved the historic hotel. The lobby areas are wonderful for hanging out. Great service at the bar (as well as front desk and restaurant). We fell in love with the surrounding area - doing the hike to Nali and down the Stalheimskleiva winding road. Despite the age of the hotel, the rooms were very comfortable with nice showers and unbelievable views!”
