An older building in decent shape but not worth the excellent rating. The surrounding area was dominated by a large power plant. I would give it 2 stars at most.

The property was fine. It was sufficiently staffed and clean. The room was clean and quiet and nicely decorated. The bathroom was nice. The area around the property has seen better days. A lot of empty store fronts and not much in the way of dining options.

This hotel was filthy and disgusting. The toilet in my first room was not cleaned. There was a pubic hair on the lid - fine, mistakes happen, so I grabbed a tissue to discard it, but when I then lifted the lid and seat, I saw dried urine all over the rim of the bowl. Nasty! Then decided to call the front desk and ask for a different room; however, no dial tone... The phone not was not even connected, no wires to connect it to anything. (is that a safety problem?!?) Went down in person to the front desk and requested a new room. When I went to inspect the new room, it seemed fine so I accepted it, albeit with some trepidation. Walking around the room much later that night, I stepped on something sharp. Investigated the floor and discovered somebody's nasty toenail clipping had stabbed my bare foot. Gross! But it was the middle of the night by that point and I was stuck. Unfortunately there were no other hotel options available in the area at such short notice. Any one of these issues separately could be excused - honest mistakes happen - but to have so many in one stay spanning two rooms, indicates a lack of concern, care, and effort regarding cleanliness. I recommend travelers avoid this property!

The breakfast was not that great. It was gas station food. And the housekeeping started cleaning other rooms before checkout time. Which I get, but some people like to sleep in. Maybe dont vacuum before checkout?
