Great Accommodation in a Perfect Location.

The location is super great. Lying in the old town (innerstad), the hotel is close to both the ferry terminal and the bus station is just 100m away. Adelsgatan is also very popular, with many restaurants and bars located there. The room is clean. While toilets and showers are shared, they still managed to keep them tidy. It's not as comfortable as five-star hotels, as they're a little bit small, but it's good enough for a B&B at such a good price. The breakfast is so good. It offers a range of different choices, and the ingredients are all of high quality. A minor problem is that the room's soundproofing isn't that great. You can hear people moving and talking at midnight. However, I slept well there overall.

We simply needed a clean place to sleep for 2 nights. You shouldn't be staying here if you want any perks or extras. It is a simple, clean, and safe place to rest between your adventures in Gotland. As long as those are your expectations - this place is perfect. And the breakfast(Frukost) in the sister hotel is scrumptious!

Make sure you get the separate information email!

Please notice that the reception closes already at 4 pm, even though the reservation email said that check-in is from 3 pm to 12 pm. So in reality the check-in is possible at the reception from 3 pm to 4 pm. If you come later, make sure that you get a separate email with the instructions to pick up the key - for some reaso we didn't receive it, and it was quite a trouble to try to get in to our room at 6 pm, as the phone number provided on the reservation confirmation didn't pick up after 4 pm. We also tried to call and message the number provided before our trip, but they didn't reach back to our text message or voice mail - why have a possibility to leave a voice mail if they're not checked? We couldn't find an email address to contact them either. The walls are exceptionally thin, so if you're sensitive to noise, this is not the hostel for you. We didn't realize that also bed sheets must be reserved before hand, maybe there were instructions for that in the email we never received. In our case we had to sleep the first night without bed sheets, because the reception was closed when we arrived at 6 pm. Otherwise the place was ok and an affordale option to stay in Visby.

Gammalt rum, städning lite dåligt, glödlampa saknades i sänglampan, rangliga stol/pall. Ena duschen verkade kaklet i golvet löst. Centralt läge men dyrt för vad man fick.

Bra boende, perfekt läge och otrolig personal

Funktionellt boende. Perfekt läge. Hade bara otur med ”rumsgrannar”. De var väldigt högljudda och smällde med dörrar och stal tvålen från toaletten in till duschrummet.. Men det är ABSOLUT INTE boendets fel! Boendet som sådant var bra :) Rent, fräscht, perfekt läge och personalen var otroligt serviceminded. Checkade ut kl 5.30 och redan kvällen innan fick jag lite frukost med mig :)

Jag blev gratis uppgraderad till Hotell Villa Borgen som ligger alldeles bredvid. Rummet var fint och servicen var bra. De hade långa tider för frukosten, så man kunde ta frukost antingen tidigt på morgonen eller ta sovmorgon och fortfarande hinna äta frukost.

Dom som städade glömde att fylla på toalett papper.Det behövs en upprustning,det saknas en list i duchen så vattnet rinner ut på hela golvet.Det behövs nya möbler på altanen.Det är lite väl dyrt för att vara ett vandrarhem.

Låg standard

Läget är mycket bra. Men standarden på rummen är mycket låg för att vara vandrarhem. Dessutom var handtaget till rummet sönder och jag kunde inte stänga min dörr helt. Dock mkt bra frukost på Villa Borgen. I helhet är detta boende inte prisvärt.

Dags för balkonguppgradering

Ingen kärlek visades på balkongen, som angränsar till köket. Gamla, fula, en del stolar jättetunga att flytta. Inga dynor fanns att tillgå. Bordet gammalt och fult. Blomster arrangemang saknas. Parasoll likaså. Läget magnifikt. Dock en liten tv på rummet skulle inte skada. Frukosten brilliant, även miljön.

Hyfsat hostel utan solskydd

Bra läge och helt ok hostel bortsett från att de endast hade en tunn vit gardin för fönstret med morgonsol - så det var superljust redan 5 på morgonen. Vid 8 drog sedan ett av de andra rummen igång musik på mycket hög volym - tycker att de kunde ha markerat att det inte alls var ok eftersom alla var på semester.

Vi blev förvånade över hur fint det va! Perfekt läge då det var nära till allt. Vi klarade oss utmärkt utan bil. Det var väldigt rent och rummet större än vi trott. Otroligt lyhört och genomskinliga gardiner. Ta med sovmask!!!!!

Fantastiskt budgetalternativ!

Jag är så nöjd med mina dagar på Jernvägshotellet! Jag förväntade mig ett vanligt vandrarhemsrum till det billiga priset, men förvånades över hur rent och fräscht det var. Lyhört och kallt rum, men det senare hade säkert kunnat åtgärdas om jag hade sagt till. Vilket fantastiskt budgetboende så centralt och nära allt!

Vi hade våningsängar som var ok, dock smala men fungerade för oss. Gemensamt kök i fullgott skick med matsalsbord, gemensamma toaletter som var fräscha. Vi är nöjda med vistelsen och priset symboliserar vad du får men det passade oss perfekt. Personalen var trevlig

スタッフの方も受け付かならわんちゃんもとても感じが良いのですが、宿は音漏れがすごく、私が泊まった日はキッチンルームでパーティーしている団体が居て、うるさくて眠れませんでした。 トイレ、シャワーの扉を閉めるだけでも、叩き起こされる位の音でした。 場所、スタッフさんが良い人な分、残念ですが、あまりオススメ出来ません。

Good place to stay

Overall, the stay here is great! Actually, it was the second time for me cuz the previous stay was nice and I thought I wanted to come back here. The location is so nice! Close to the big square and is located on the main shopping street of Visby. Close to the supermarkets and good restaurants as well. The room was comfortable and could enjoy the view of Visby shopping street from the window. Also, there was a cozy kitchen which had almost all the basic kitchen goods that we usually used. However, there was one thing that needed to be fixed and better. That is wifi connection. In the room, we could use wifi, but the speed of it was quite slow, which annoyed us a bit.
