“Very disappointed, the hotel looked lovely in the photos but reality was a different story. With the exception of one waiter none of the staff seemed to know what they were doing. The pool was filthy and the water was green. The room was shabby and in desperate need of a refurb, broken bathroom fixtures, hole in sheet, dirty curtains, broken tie-backs. Bar area was okay but at breakfast our table was covered in flies. Avoid this place at all costs ”

“Sad case of lovely hotel falling into decay after Covid. We four were only guests for our two day stay. Staff could not do enough but could not find booking, pool very neglected and rooms although enormous could do with a large amount of tender loving care. One I hope succeeds in the future.”

“Great hotel in a beautiful location. We only stayed one night, but could have stayed longer. The pools looked fantastic and well cleaned. We had an excellent meal, and then played pool on the table next to the bar! The hotel is trying hard to be eco, and we had a very interesting bathroom surrounded by plants in the shower, and an open air roof - covered by mesh to stop anything nasty getting in! We watched a fantastic sunset whilst drinking cocktails. Very memorable. Staff were lovely.”

“Cloudy Sigiriya is an absolute gem, combining great amenities with the true tranquility of the Sri Lankan landscape. “Hotell Nadun Rest har upphört att existera så det var i det närmaste omöjligt att hitta dit. Nya hotellägarna hade informerat Hotels.com om detta men gamla namnet låg fortfarande ute och då med info att det fanns frukost och restaurang. Dåligt av Hotels.com!! Nya ägarna var ändå väldigt hjälpsamma och ordnade frukost och tog oss till en restaurang på eget initiativ. Hotellet heter numera Monkey Garden och har väldigt enkla övernattningsrum.”

“Amazing - no other words needed! A two night stay in one of the tree houses - had the camp to ourselves , which was perfect. Staff were fabulous and went out of their way to ensure our meals were varied both in location and food . Excellent on both counts . Wild elephant encounter on our way in, had to reroute on the way out due to ele on the road (? Same guy?) . But a great detour . Just chilled in the fish spa and ate lots. ”

“街の中心はガチャガチャしていて、避けたかったので、少し離れたこのホテルを利用させてもらいました。 周りはしすまかですご、レストランは沢山あります。 シーギリヤロックやPidurangala Rockへのトゥクトゥク、ポロンナルワやアヌラーダプラへの手配など、リクエストは何でも叶えてくれます！ ホテル自体も素敵ですし、朝、庭の木に住んでるクジャクが起こしてくれますよ!”

“단언컨데 해외에서 숙박했던 경험 중 최고였습니다 주인분이 엄청 친절하시고 어디가냐고 물어보고 툭툭도 다 섭외해주셨습니다 (합리적인 가격으로) 방은 깨끗하고 에어컨은 성능이 좋았으며 뜨거운 물도 잘 나왔어요 조식은 커피부터 과일에 커리와 계란 후라이, 무슨 라이스페이퍼 말이, 과일주스까지 다 못먹을 정도로 많이 주셨어요 숙소가 정글 같아서 다른 세상에 있는 느낌이 들어요 다음에 가면 숙소에서만 2~3일은 더 있고 싶네요”

“Melrose villas is tucked away off the main road but still within walking distance / short tuk tuk ride away from village. Rooms are simple and it may take a while to find right temperature for the shower. But what really stands out is their great service, simple but freshly made meals and view of Sigiriya Rock in the distance. ”

“A lovely stay at the Wild Grass Resort. The villa was amazing - clean, very spacious , beautiful outdoor enclosed showers. Very tranquil location. The breakfast was superb - fresh fruit , juice, fresh coffee , a choice of cooked breakfasts - plentiful and fresh. Staff were lovely - attentive and polite . Highly recommended to stay here !
