A very nice hotel. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed and great shower. Excellent location with valet parking. My wife was very pleased I booked this hotel which has a an empowering woman’s theme. Five-ten minute pleasant walk to the White House. When we return to DC, we will stay here again.

Nice stay for 3 nights. Hotel was clean, some small maintenance issues that could have been addressed… the area rug in our room was fraying and there were a couple areas in the room that could have used touch ups from wear and tear. The shower floor was extremely slippery and you definitely need the provided mat. Fall hazard for sure!! We also noticed an uncovered, non-grounded electrical outlet next to our chaise at the pool which we found shocking (pun intended) and obviously another safety hazard. It would have been nice to be told about the added gratuity the first purchase I made at the bar… was not thrilled about that. Would I stay here again, maybe… I liked the vibe, the values and vision of the hotel mission, the location… but the entire package was missing.

This hotel met my expectations! The staff was very accommodating and the room was stylish, yet warm and inviting. The rooftop pool area could use a little updating and attention (i.e no towels depending on the time of day, better seating areas, etc) - nonetheless it was a great added amenity. Breakfast was also delicious. I would stay her again.

Hotel Zena I would definitely say is not much above a two star rating. For starters, the area around the hotel is a great view and great walking places not too far around the area. As far as the dining and bar at the hotel it is super expensive for drinks & food. There are two bars which is great because the pool bar is very small and limited space and consistently filled so we never got to enjoy that aspect. As far as the room it is OKAY, definitely would say two stars heavily influenced by the cleanliness. But the room was also hot and hard to temp control. The room seemed much smaller than the hotel pictures, just like the pool. We found ourselves double checking transactions, just because things were easily missed as far as discounts or things of that nature. All in all I would not return just because it did not hold up to the expectations given from the hotel pictures. Parking is NOT included and SUPER expensive around the area & at the hotel. Incidental fee for the room is pretty heafty as well. All and all it was an okay stay. Staff were nice but not worth the hearty expense.
