Wat Na Phra Meru Tours

Behind the Wat Na Phramen temple are some beautiful buildings and a large number of small stupas like these in the photograph.

This temple is the only remaining intact temple from the early Ayutthaya period. It was built in 1503. When the Burmese attacked the city in 1760, they used this temple as one of their points of attack because of its proximity to the Royal Palace (directly across a small river). The temple is gorgeous and in practically perfect condition. It gives insight to how amazing and ornate the Royal Palace must have been since this temple was not of great importance.
