Cute Hotel in quaint village outside of Marburg. The room was spotless, the front desk staff super helpful, and the food was great. Breakfast was included in our room cost as was a full buffet. Dinner in the restarant was great. Location was a bit more outside of Marburg than stated (seemed more like 7 miles vs 3 km) and buses are infrequent. But cabs and rideshares are reasonable. Take a walk around the town - cute farm buildings!

Germany is very eco-oriented. If you decline a daily cleaning you can put a small bag on the knob and they will skip your room but put in a little gift of some sort. If you are renting a car, parking is a little problematic as it is in many hotels and cities in Europe. The hotel underground parking spaces are very small. If you have a larger vehicle it is almost impossible to navigate the space. We did end up with a scratch on the rental vehicle. We will rent smaller cars going forward....

Quaint little place with easy access to the city and historical old town of Marburg. „Landhaus“ stye furniture and a nice and firm mattress allowed for a good night sleep. Added value is the nice Restaurant with focus on steak but also modern cuisine. They also serve a scrumptious breakfast buffet.

Marburg is probably my favorite old city in Germany. The oldest university town in Germany and fortunately not damaged during the war. The village of Amoeneburg nearby sits atop a large hill with old houses and the ruins of a 10th century castle.

Property is not a Ritz Carlton ... BUT for a small German town this is a Gem !
We stayed three nights and the room (#7) was wonderful. No frills, like Coffee Maker or other fancy gadgets that in the end you really don't need (but pay for).
A few thoughts: If you plan on having breakfast the Hotel offers a GREAT variety in the morning. Absolutely worth it!
At the corner of the "Market Square" is a small restaurant called "Sterntaler - Wirtshaus und Biergarten". If you don't go there for dinner,...
