"We booked a "cosy double" on a Bank Holiday weekend and with a 6'6" husband it was indeed cosy! I suppose we thought they were referring to the aesthetics rather than the actual size of not only the room but the bed! As there was an event on it was particularly busy but the staff were absolutely wonderful, very welcoming and accommodating and incredibly friendly. Very good food and service and we would stay again, but perhaps ensure we had a more spacious room!"
"Unfortunately it was a little noisy outside due to locals . The work going on at the moment made the hotel look unwelcoming from the outside but fine when inside . The air freshener in the hallways may need a different sense as I found it a little overpowering.
Staff were super and very friendly."
"Ideally situated for visiting Port Talbot and the Gower peninsular area. The hotel was very clean, all staff very friendly and helpful (no problem each morning getting my gluten free toast) and even the basic room is lovely and spacious. Loads of parking right outside. Breakfast buffet has a good selection of foods from fruit/cereals/cooked options and sweet pastries.
The only slightly annoying thing though, is it's just off the M4/A48 junctions, so does mean if a light sleeper it can be a bit noisy with road noise, even overnight. Maybe would be quieter if you ask for a room at the front of the hotel?"
"Staff were excellent so kind and thoughtful. Particularly on reception desk. Thank you.
Breakfast very good choice pleased with it.
Staff very helpful when could not use a disabled blue badge area as all full. Solved problem very quickly."
"We had an excellent stay. We stayed in the St Teilo room, which had a lovely, private, decked area outside the room, which made for a very cosy star-gazing evening.
We twice ate at the hotel: for breakfast and the evening meal. The food was delicious and high quality. I had the pork wellington and fillet steak. Portion sizes are quite substantial. I had a small mountain of chips with my steak.
A very cosy experience in a really quiet village. Didn’t hear a sound at night.
Would definitely stay again."
"Had a great experience. Very laid-back vibe, but the hosts are always on hand if you need anything. Took the time to answer my questions about how to explore the local area. Recommendations were spot on. Perfect spot to explore the coast of the Gower Peninsula; the cliffs are a short drive or bus ride away. Two pubs right next door both do lovely food."
