"I will preface this review by saying that I have stayed at the Palms over 20 times in the past 5 years, both for business and pleasure. I typically have a great experience with this hotel. However on my latest trip for business I was checked into a room in the Ivory Tower even though I had paid for a reservation in the fantasy Tower. The only explanation I got from the front desk clerk was there was an occupancy issue. She told me that I would not have to pay more to stay in the ivory Tower, even though I had actually paid more to book the fantasy Tower. Then in the middle of the night and alarm clock started going off in a room around me that was evidently empty. The alarm clock went off for several hours waking the baby and adjoining room who cried continuously for the next two days. I reported this to the desk clerk and they offered me no options whatsoever."

"I’ve been coming here for almost 5 years and have always considered it a 5 star experience. However my last 2 visits there in the last 3 weeks left me a little disappointed. The rooms certainly need to be updated and cleaned better. Our outlets kept sparking and we had smelled smoke a few times from them. Maintenance replaced the lamp , which doesn’t really help with the outlet issue. Shower took well over 5 mins to get hot water in the second room I stayed in on my 2nd visit. Slow draining sinks and toilets. Found hair in the shower and blankets. There were a few other issues with staff security but for the most part front desk women were nice. However one informed me I needed to check out and was wrong so I paid for another night at a hotel for no reason. She realized her mistake and apologized but no refund. So just stayed there since it was paid for and requested a refund from the other hotel that I didn’t need to book. Thankfully they accommodated it. I would have rated lower but have had wonderful experiences in the past and just hope this was a bad month for them. "

"Pool was closed and online ad said one pool would be open. Couldn't ever call front desk. Never saw a single person to ask how much for a late checkout so we went to another resort that had a pool and paid for their day pass. "
