"I am so happy that I only booked 2 nights. I planned on doing some catching up with online school work while in the area. I decided to book two different places for the week I’d be in the area just incase the internet was bad at one. Thank god I didn’t do the full week here. Upon my initial key, I opened the door to a very foul smelling room. I got a second key to another room which he said was the last room so I took it. The smell wasn’t as bad, but it was still apparent. There were stain stains on the towels, sheets, and curtains. There were cockroaches in the shower. There was two minutes of hot water before it went cold. The room next to me had two people arguing for three hours straight while I was trying to concentrate on a module for school then I had two people banging on my door at 5 AM saying police I looked through the hole and it was two people looking to score, as people would come and go to the room on the other side of me all day. When I went to use the phone to call the front desk as they were banging on my door, waking me up at five in the morning I noticed that the phone was not even connected. There was no dial tone. Parking was iffy as there was drunks walking down the street as it was right next to a liquor store. And God forbid you wanna cook something in the microwave, someone had cooked something very bad like plastic inside it. Yeah I don’t recommend it. I know how to pinch penny's, but not this cheap. "Convenient hotel as a home base to the Newport/Crystal Cove area. Perhaps most importantly, a very clean hotel. Front desk staff were all friendly and helpful. They offered us complimentary cookies and water bottles upon check in. There is always fresh coffee in the lobby. The breakfasts were delicious and fresh, and what you’d expect at a Hilton property in the U.S. The rooms were clean and although you can hear an occasional sound from neighbors, the walls didn’t seem paper thin as they sometimes can be at hotels these days. We couldn’t hear any conversations in the adjacent rooms. There is a 24 hour exercise room available. A grocery store is a very short walk away. Covered parking available under the hotel with elevator access. Had a great stay in February/March 2026. "
