Westlington. On the 1940s OS map Westlington is given almost as much prominence as Dinton, but now it seems that the former has become an adjunct to the latter, with the cottages here being on Westlington Green, Dinton.

Dinton Hall. Only the upper storey of this tremendous Tudor mansion can be seen from the lane due to the high, very solid stone wall. It is next to 247492 on the lane from Dinton to Upton.

Not a bad hotel, but as usual let down by the slamming bedroom door problem! Strong self-closers on doors make them slam when people are coming in and out of their rooms late at night and early in the morning Why don't hotels recognise this problem and do something about it??!!
