If you want a relaxed break this is a great hotel to book, just come back from a weekend away. What a joy to stay somewhere with such amazing staff. Room was lovely very clean comfy bed. Great breakfast we also dined in the restaurant and bar which was really nice. Had a three hour spa to finish off our stay. Will definitely be back.

I had a one night stay in the hotel while travelling for business. The hotel is lovely, staff friendly, food in the restaurant for dinner & breakfast was great and plenty of choice. Room (i had a single room) overlooking the garden was comfortable and quiet. I'd definitely stay again if i was in the area.

We got married here nearly 25 years ago - it was lovely to return and still feel it was the same hotel - everything the same but refreshed and not outdated at all. Rooms quiet and comfortable, bar welcoming and breakfast was fantastic

Had to use the overflow due to conference as we noticed on arrival not a problem, First walked in we were greeted no issues had some questions which the receptionist knew the answers Booked through Expedia don’t know if this is why I had to fill out a form but no issues there, The room was nice and clean as you would expect ironing board/iron in cupboard with a trouser press, kettle and nespresso machine tea coffee and pods etc were all topped up, bottle of water and what I thought was cordial turned out to be red wine upon opening it which is a nice touch, view outside the room was the bandstand with water feature again it was nice. Spa treatment we had the 3 hour package everything clean we had use of hot tubs, 2 saunas, foot spa, a steam room a snooze room also we chose the facial as our treatment and my face and never been so soft. Restraunt we were adviced that there would be a wait for food due to a conference on, not an issue only waited around 10 minutes, food is nice after we went to the bar but the only thing is about drinks there is no drink menu or cocktail menu so we didn’t know what was and wasn’t available. Breakfast was included in our room and it was a buffet style which was good Can’t fault this hotel

Lovely relaxing break

We enjoyed a lovely relaxing break at this hotel with friendly professional staff. Our room was clean and comfortable. Restaurant facilities very good. Weather not quite good enough for us to take advantage of the various outdoor seating areas which, nonetheless, did look very inviting.

A pleasant overnight stay

The Hotel was bright and spacious and apparently well maintained. It had a mix of the modern but also some traditional wooden panelling in the Bar. Our room was clean, tidy and very comfortable and the toilet was spacious and well set out. The Staff were pleasant and helpful and we enjoyed an excellent and substantial dinner on our one and only evening in the Hotel. The next morning we had a very nice breakfast which included buffets for both hot and cold food - again plenty choice. We felt considering what had been on offer the meals were very good value. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would go back some day.

Comfortable stay.

Room was lovely, very clean and comfortable. Bed very soft. Breakfast good. Had evening meal, daily carvery. Food only lukewarm and vegetables overcooked. Staff were attentive and did offer to warm my dinner up. Think the chef could tske actions to improve food by cooking vegetables in smaller amounts to maintain freshness. Dining toom rather chilly.

The hotel was in an ideal location for York, Harrogate and the start of the Dale's. In my opinion the food was not up to scratch for a 4Star Hotel, not very hot and veg were very watery. Staff were lovely.
