Breakfast
The breakfast service was appalling. We arrived for breakfast at 10 15. The hot food from the heated service area was cold, the fried eggs were underdone. Everything was self service. We even had to get our mugs from a buffet table. We had to ask for tea halfway through our breakfast. No server came to ask about tea or coffee. There were loads of messy tables around us not cleared off. Overall it was a poor experience. No personal service. Very disappointing.

Hotel room was freezing at night, I woke up because my arm was over the covers and it was so cold. The showers at the pool was freezing and there was no soap in the dispensers.

Disappointing bathroom facilities
Very disappointed with the bathroom in room 315. The shower would not turn off and I had to call reception to send someone up. The water was out to the room door. Two very nice ladies cleaned up the floors and brought new towels however it was an inconvenience while I was trying to get ready for a meal. Neither my husband or I used the shower the Sunday morning which was not acceptable, there was no comfort incase the same thing happened. I mentioned it on checkout and was informed that the whole floor was going to be under renovation for the month of December, this is good news however it’s not any addition to me. I made the room reservation in July direct with the hotel and would have expected a far superior room to what we got.

We stayed in the Wexford hotel for 2 nights on arrival at the hotel staff where a pleasure to deal with the hotel was clean and kept well. The rooms where average but clean and had all the features. The only issue we found was the room was freezing cold. We brought this to the attention of the receptionist on the Sunday evening and was offered a fan heater for the room which we declined as we were told the temperature in the room would rise to the 24 degrees temperature set on the heating control. Unfortunately this did not occur. On checkout we again made a complaint to the receptionist who stated that she would have to get maintenance to look at it. A little late at that stage.

Not as good as it should be
the room was very tired .bedside drawer fell out on opening, furniture worn and tatty the fitted carpet moved underfoot as loose. Bath chipped,hot water hard to regulate between cold and scalding. Expect a shaving mirror in bathroom and a hair dryer in room for the standard and price. Public spaces ok and staff very friendly and helpful which redeemed it slightly.

We enjoyed 😉 our stay very much .room very good clean and comfortable 👌. It would nice to have a different menu every night 🌙. It might sound like a complaint its not we were in the bar on Friday night the service to get a drink was not great. Still had a great time .

Convenient to town and the pubs , stores and restaurants. Breakfast was wonderful. Check-in person on 9/2 afternoon was amazing and very helpful.
