great place to stay , only 5 mins drive out of Whangarei CBD. faster than the drive across town, beautiful setting, great restaurant and bar , Excellent bloody marys !, conditioning well up to par, nice soaking in a hot bath, also has a coin operated washer and dryer so its a great oasis in the middle of a long trip

Great Little Place

Great place to stay. Room was very spacious (esp. after dogbox in Auckland) clean and tidy. OK, it is not new, but everything was in working order and full stove, fridge and microwave, plus plenty of utensils, made cooking easy. They also have a small, but adequate, gym on site. We had to hole up here during Cyclone Gabrielle and it was fine for the three nights we stayed. Staff and owners were very helpful and chatty. Bonus was being able to watch T20 Womens World Cup on TV!

Our room was spotlessly clean. Everything was comfortable which made us feel at home for our stay. The owners were lovely and we were given a small bottle of milk by them on arrival which was much appreciated! Supermarket is very close, in walking distance which we made use of. This was our favourite place we stayed during our trip. Relaxing and overall great experience.

I stayed here for one night in a standard studio room with a comfortable bed, excellent shower, kitchenette with fridge/cooker/microwave, portable fan. Friendly welcome on arrival, easy parking, large supermarket two minutes walk away (and I recommend Hell pizzeria nearby too).

Great location, within walking distance to Town, bars and restaurants. Nice clean hotel, perfect host. Beach towels provided. Washing up liquid, t towel and dishcloth also provided.
