"Lovely place. This is a rustic place in the middle of nowhere and is fantastic! Worth all the travel. Staff were amazing. Food was superb. I had the giant Yorkshire pudding with beef bourginon. My room was lovely and the bed comfortable. A very welcoming place even for a single traveller like me. I’m definitely going back at some point! Brilliant"

"Lovely hotel in the heart of Kirkby Stephen. No breakfast, but could be arranged albeit for an extra fee, and a bit too late for walkers. Comfortable bed and bedding. TV and wifi worked well."

"We stayed in a family room which was brilliant. The kids had a separate sleeping area and separate beds which was great! Nice spacious room for the four of us. Everything needs updating but i overheard that this property is being updated soon. Unfortunately the water was turned off on our last morning.
