Wheaton Aston Lock, Staffordshire. This is on the Shropshire Union Canal, opened in 1835, and engineered by Thomas Telford. The lock alters the water level by seven feet (just over two metres).

The white building past the boats is The Hartley Arms, by Tavern Bridge.
