White Horse Pike, Atlantic City hotel rooms at the Independent

"We stayed there as a family because of a concert that we were attending. Overall, very bad experience. Check in had one person at the desk on a Friday afternoon. There were only two elevators out of six that were functioning to get you up to your room. There was a good 5 to 10 minute wait just to get an elevator. At one point there was a screaming match and almost an altercation. The room beds were extremely hard and not comfortable. The arcade had maybe only 2/3 of the games working and the other ones were eating up your money. It was also only available starting at 11 AM the next day which surprisingly you have to be checked out by that time. Overall, very terrible experience and would not recommend."

"This spot was extremely outdated. The curtains and ironing board have been in that room since the 90s. The bathroom sink had some weird brown caulking going around it. The carpet had everybodies hair on it. The continental breakfast was bread and bagels. 2 types of cereal. A tub of yogurt. One of those juice and water machine that had apple, orange, and cranberry juice. Oh the apple juice had ants in it. "
