“We enjoyed our two day stay at the Wildcat Inn. The back garden is lovely and the furnishings are really interesting. We ate in the restaurant both nights and the food was inconsistent. Our first night my husband's beef tips dinner was delicious, while my French Dip sandwich was not good. The meat was so thinly shaved that it was dry and crunchy. The following night my husband ordered a salad that he enjoyed, but my medium rare burger arrived raw in the middle. The waitress took it back and...

“We had visited Whitney's Inn before and were aware it is currently transitioning to new ownership, which apparently aspires to revitalize the whole ski resort community. So we had reasonable expectations going into this. The property has certainly seen better days - our bedframe was literally caving in! But staff were friendly and willing to help make things right. We are midweek travelers so the place wasn't too busy. The adjoining Shovel Handle Pub is now open midweek so we were able to try it...

“The rooms are very clean. I had no problem with any of that. We went downstairs and told the manager that the bathroom sink was not draining and he said he would take care of it and he did we got back from where we had gone for the day it was working. We had our breakfast between eight and 11 is they said it would parking was good. We had a great time nice people to deal with.”

“A wonderful old inn and a unique stay. Mostly decorated in a traditionl style, with a few modern touches. The staff were exceedingly helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and the inn's restaurant is renowned - bookings essential. The food was amazing! Plenty of parking and an easy walk into the town center. We would certainly return.”
