After accepting the three dogs, the house is well kept, clean and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was delicious.

Very happy stay

A fantastic stay with all our needs, and very very friendly and welcoming. Good size en suite bedroom with great views, very comfortable. Fabulous breakfast. Good location 7min walk to town 15 to harbour front. Will come again

Our visit was like staying in a well-appointed family home. Comfortable, clean and modern but appropriate decor in this recently renovated Victorian house. The owner could not have been more friendly, with very helpful local knowledge and making us feel very welcome. Breakfast was excellent, from full English , to vegetarian or smoked salmon on scrambled eggs - all delicious. Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic stay

Stay was a great 2 nights stay! It was a last minute booking for our climb to scafell pike and found this B n B at an affordable rate and close location to scafell pike. Room is very spacious, bright and clean, comfortable and looks very cosy, bathroom Is spacious and clean too! And We had fresh towels the next day! Breakfast was good, variety of choices although we were not able to try the full English breakfast. The owner is very lovely and welcoming 😍

Wonderful stay

We stayed at Glenfield house for 7 nights as an end of summer getaway. Kathy was a lovely host as were her 2 dogs Lily and Flyn. The room had a cottage and boutique feel. The bed was comfortable and the shower was excellent. The whole place has recently been renovated to a high standard. Every morning we were cooked a full fried breakfast of our choice at a time that suited us. Cereal and fruit was available, however Kathy's cooking was top notch. We had friend breakfast 7 days in a row, a new record for us both!!! We would give 10 stars if we could. Absolutely wonderful time had. Loads to see and do in the local town, much of which we were recommended by Kathy.

Warm friendly welcome by Kathy as well as her nice dogs! When we arrived late evening, we were grateful for the advice as to where to eat; and the last-minute sandwiches Kathy prepared for us for our climb up Scarfell Pike. Room spacious and clean with nice period details - just watch out for the outstretched bed posts, which I caught my knee on.

The owner could not have done more for us. Welcoming and attentive. Even when we requested an early breakfast (5.30 as we were cycling the coast to coast) it wasn’t a problem!
