"He stayed here for three nights while we were in Ireland. The first two nights were in a room with full river view. The room was a bit dated and had some wear in it (carpet stained, paint chipped and worn). We came back for one more night since we were in the area and we got a room facing the back river and that room was 100 times better. The restaurant at the food was okay. The service of the employees were great at the restaurant and getting us blankets. Parking was a 4-minute walk away but...

"Ideally located for salthill promenade including blackrock if you fancied an early morning swim, you wouldnt be alone. The rooms are spacoous , airy and well maintained. The breakfast was scrumptious, with plenty of choice. If i was to say anothong other than an excellent stay, when they the quieter time os between 7 and 8am , only if no tour parties are staying.although the restaurant area was lathe enougb to cater for all."

Gorgeous Hotel - but plug sockets are a challenge!
"This is a really lovely hotel and the staff were, without exception absolutely wonderful - very friendly and engaged. There were two things I'd suggest giving attention to: 1. There is a very very overpowering product used on the first floor (smells like a very strong aftershave!. Please find a gentler scent, if one is needed. 2. The location of plugs above desks in rooms is problematic as they are placed too close to the desk to allow for real life plugs to fit! As a result neither my laptop plug nor my hair curler would fit. The plugs under the bedside tables are so low that one has to kneel to reach them, an issue for anyone elderly/with arthritic knees. A universal design approach would have helped here.... "
