Modern room with lovely view

Lovely modern building with a great communal space. Well equipped and comfortable rooms. Owners are friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was great. Located a short walk up a steep hill from the bars and restaurants of Bowness which gives a magnificent view over the lake!

An amazing stay at Dome House, amazing hospitality, beautiful house, beautiful suite with fantastic views, so peaceful and relaxed Breakfast was really good and delivered to your room, just so many nice touches that make your stay memorable!!! Will definitely return and wluld recommend a stay to anyone..

In a word...fabulous!! The hotel is immaculate, super cool and well placed. The views are second to none and Joyce was great. We loved everything about Dome house, it’ll be our Bowness home away from home.

Stunning house with gorgeous view

With only three rooms to let out it had a nice homely feel but with added luxuries such as a Gingerbread vodka in the room with truffles and lovely toiletries. The room was very spacious with a balcony overlooking Lake Windermere. Beautiful communal room and garden. The house was also very conveniently located only a short walk down to plenty of bars and restaurants.

Perfect place to relax

Cannot rate this hotel highly enough. Wonderful view, perfect location. Incredibly comfy bed, excellent breakfast (which was brought to our room!) and lovely owners. The communal area was also fantastic. Our only problem was we only booked for one night!

One Off

Dome House is a one off. If you like interesting architecture, great views, contemporary design, amazing shared lounge and comfortable bedrooms all close by (5 mins) from busy Bowness then you won’t find a better destination than this.

Best place to stay in Bowness

Fantastic location and stunning building. The rooms and indoor areas were immaculate, a little bit of work required outside to bring it up to scratch but overall a very enjoyable experience.

Amazing

We cannot recommend the dome house highly enough it is amazing and so are the owners Joyce and Phil. They went over and beyond to make our stay special it was like home to home. My partner proposed to me here with the great help of Joyce and Phil. The views are amazing I will forever be returning to the dome house.

Fabulous Dome House

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this amazing place. Location is ideal just up the hill from bowness and setting is excellent with stunning views from all rooms and even better from huge shared lounge on the higher floor. Room & facilities excellent and the owners Phil & Joyce were very friendly and helpful with local information or anything else required.
