“Wonderful hotel. I’m adding it to my favourites as I travel around the country quite a bit. The staff were lovely, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the parking was excellent. I ate in the restaurant and the food and service were both excellent. I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the area.”

“The property is a wonderful grade II listed building with oodles of character. The breakfast room is exquisitely decorated with busts of famous peots in which you can eat a sumptuous cooked full english breakfast. The property is wonderfully peaceful and the beds as beautifully soft and comfortable. If you are looking for a modern sparse hotel then this is not it, and you should look elsewhere. If you like a wonderful property with bags of history to it then you are in luck!”

“The staff was very friendly but I have to admit the internet even at times when I could connect was so weak, I couldn’t even access my emails. The shower has a power saver machine on it but the problem is the hot water cycles from cold to warm to scalding and around and around so you constantly have to dip under and out. I can’t say the stay was worth the price.”
