We took a bus to St. Gilgen. We rode the gondola/cable car lift up the nearby mountain for hiking and beautiful scenery. We then walked around the town of St. Gilgen, which looked like a real life fairy tale village, or inspiration for Disney theme parks. We sat by the incredible blue/green water of the Wolfangsee, ate ice cream, and watched ducks and people in boats go by. It was an easy side trip from Salzburg and a wonderful experience.
