A quaint old b&b with beautiful character. Easy walk to downtown that has restaurants and shopping, a park with nature trail a very short walk down the street.(highly recommend) Fantastic breakfasts, and Heather was a fantastic host! We hope to go back for our anniversary next year!
Service was outstanding. Alice is the best. The facility was dated and dark. Breakfast (complimentary) was very good (again thanks to Alice). Will probably try another place next time we visit the Wood.

Thank you for the review, Susan. A Victorian inn is, by definition, dated, and I'm aware it is not for everyone. Mud season is certainly not the brightest time of Woodstock's year. I'm so glad you enjoyed Alice and the breakfasts though. We hope you find a place more suitable to your tastes next time you visit Woodstock.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The Inn itself was charming and the location was good. Our first night was met with disappointment when we hoped to light the fireplace, but no one could figure out how to get the pilot light back on. Additionally, the remote to the TV in the sitting area was “lost.” The hosts; however, did not charge us for a dinner at the Inn as a compensation for these minor inconveniences.
We enjoyed our stay at The Village Inn at Woodstock. The owner Heather and all of the staff were very friendly. Heather is also the cook. The breakfasts included in the booking were excellent. We also had a nice dinner there. The location is a short and pleasant walk from the center of town.

Thank you so much for leaving a review! Please come again.
Everything was so cozy. Friendly staff! The delicious complimentary breakfasts in the morning held us throughout long ski days. Good location to reach Killington (Skyship) in 20 minutes and Okemo in 40 minutes. Stowe/Jay in 1.5 hours. Will definitely return to this property next year
The best part of the property is the owner. She goes very much out of her way to make the stay comfortable. She even made separate scones and quiche for my gluten free wife. And the food was excellent, whether gluten free or not. It's a very nice building, too. The interior finishes are very authentic (though new) and consistent with the period. Also, the owner is so well dialed in to the community that her suggestions were very much spot on.
We loved the charm and the service. Breakfast was fantastic and staff could not be friendlier or more helpful. It was a most pleasant stay. We booked a fall weekend too!

The owners of the Woodstock in are great. We had fun at the bar during happy hour with them and Heather is also a chef. The breakfast in the morning was outstanding.

We loved our stay at this charming inn! Heather, the innkeeper, was so welcoming and kind. And she is a great cook too! The delicious breakfasts during our stay were a wonderful addition to a fantastic overall experience.
Innkeeper Heather is an excellent host. The Inn is private, quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was delicious. Just spent two very relaxing days there and would definitely go back again.

We had such an amazing stay at the Village Inn. The owners are so kind and treated us like family. Our room was immaculate and very cozy. The bed & pillows were extremely comfortable. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the quaint shops and restaurants. Oh, and the breakfast was incredible! We highly recommend this bed and breakfast. We can’t wait to go back!

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely stay at The Village Inn. The inn is beautifully decorated, and every detail is not only attractive but also well maintained. There is also a back patio garden that is a bit of heaven on earth. To top it all off, the owner, Heather, prepares AMAZING breakfasts that sublimely started our days in Woodstock.

Charming 1899 inn perfect for Valentine's weekend! Suite 5 with gas fireplace & jetted tub, king-size bed with down pillow-top, within easy walking distance to the village. Breakfasts were outstanding. Heather was a wonderful host!

The people who were there were warm and incredibly nice. Lovely room and bathroom. Charming. Breakfast was basic but good enough and saved us time on a busy Columbus Day weekend during COVID. Convenient area.
