We had checked in in advance and arrived at 10pm so had no other option but to stay. The room was fine, just a little cold and couldn’t close the curtains so was very bright in the morning. Just frustrating when the double was paid for and had no choice but to accept a bunk bed. "

"Room was clean, but tired, and it was a superior, one, so I am not sure what the standard would be like! Also it was cold, and adjusting the heating control didn't seem to make any difference to the temperature . Staff friendly and helpful. The swimming pool, is small and cold, and the female changing room floor was flooded with water., when I visited. Which was probably an accident zone in the making. The restaurant menu looked varied and reasonably priced. However, unless there was no where else, I doubt I would stay again. Which is a shame. "

"Malmaison is conveniently located a few blocks away from the main train station for Birmingham, and this is in the middle of all the action in the central city, even part of the Mailbox mall with a movie theater and excellent restaurant-bar-pub choices."
