This Workum hotel is worth a visit.

Great view of town square. Excellent hosts! Quaint Dutch town atmosphere with many dining choices.

Very nice! The staff and owner were very nice. Even helped with my luggage up the many stairs. Parking was free and just around the corner behind the church. Breakfast was personalized and very good.

Charming, old school hotel

We (husband, 4-year-old, and I) really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was included, and they offered a variety of options. The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. It's very much an old European hotel, which is part of its charm. The location is great - right in the center of town. Note that there is no elevator, so it won't be the right choice for anyone who cannot climb stairs.

The hotel is right in the centre of Workum and has a big terrace on the main square. Plenty of free parking close by. We were there on the busiest weekend of the year, yet still received a warm welcome and were well looked after during our 2 nights' stay. The only negative was that the (spacious) room was very cold and the aircon difficult to adjust.

What a wonderful gem in this quiet little town!!! We walked into town from the train station, able to see the transition from new town to the old town. Hotel is smack in the middle of the old center of town. Everything you would want to see... Jopie museum, Erfskip Museum, churches, shopping.. is within a few moments' walk. Staff at hotel was so friendly, helpful, kind. Breakfast included with your room was prepared and ready at designated table in the morning based on submitted request card night before. Room was spacious and quiet. One note of warning, though. If you are not able or willing to walk up stairs that are pretty steep and the treads not very deep, you will not be comfortable with the climb to your room. No elevator available. Dining options at the hotel are wonderful and you have the full square to sit in to enjoy outdoor dining as well. Hearing the church bells from the nearby historic church was the icing on the cake. We plan to go back and spend a few months in the town at some point in the next few years since it was so welcoming. Did not make it to the beach, but understand that the beach is a very popular summer spot. Prepare to be transported back in time when you visit!

urig und gemuetlich

Ein sehr gemütliches Haus, sowohl das Restaurant als auch das Zimmer waren ansprechend. Das Essen war sehr gut, der Service zuvorkommend. Einziges Manko - deswegen nur 4 Sterne beim Komfort - eine sehr steile Treppe, die man besser nicht mit viel Gepäck herunter gehen sollte - immer eine Hand frei haben... Aber dafür war das Zimmer gross, das Bett bequem und das Bad sehr sauber.

Nettes Hotel mit freundlichen Mitatbeiter:innen. Um die Zimmer im ersten Stock zu erreichen muss man eine sehr steile Stiege bewältigen. Für uns kein Problem. Menschen mit Mobilitätseinschränkungen sollten das berücksichtigen. Sehr positiv war die Klimaanlage im Zimmer unter Dach!

Een fijne tijd gehad op een drie persoons kamer. Schoon. Rustig. Wat krappe badkamer met toilet maar goed te doen. Alleen wel een warme kamer. De vloer was warm ws omdat de keuken eronder zit(?). Maar de airco werkte goed.
