Great hotel with friendly staff that was knowledgeable about the island and willong to help us navigate the bus routes as well as set-up a hike. Great stay!

An amazing service, reception are super helpful, rooms are luxurious, modern and ultimately clean. Great poo, great spa, dinner at the Michelin restaurant was fantastic.

Onsen facility is good. Ingredients and contents for Dinner and Breakfast are considered overprice. There is no lift access which is Inconvenient. Staff did not offer to send the luggage to the room.

The owner went above and beyond. Had wild flowers on the bed when we arrived and then put a daily local treat in the fridge every day after they came in to clean. She even called a restaurant when we arrived late so that we had somewhere to go eat. Can say enough about this experience on a very small ...

Many appliances to use including coin laundry and dryer, spacious rooms and kitchen with plenty of things to cook with. Lovely traditional style Japanese home.

Beautiful house, kept lovely and cool by the mountain breeze. Wonderful hosts, who provided everything we needed. We were really comfortable there and very sad to leave.

we stayed 3 nights , so we had 2 full days of hiking and sightseeing, I wish I stayed longer, its a nature lovers place for sure. shirintani unseiko was a big highlight and a very good hike. when you are from the city its so amzing to see such a beau
100% beautiful.
Shiratani was an excellent hike. Some good waterfalls around. Need your own car to have freedom to see the island. Beware the business hours of restaurants; many close between lunch/dinner, some closed Monday, some Tuesday, don't match Google hours.
